Do I really pay no US sales tax?
Your Skybox address is a Florida-registered forwarding-agent address, so a US store is allowed to sell to you without charging Florida sales tax — 7% at our Miami location. Most major retailers, Amazon included, apply it automatically at checkout; the store decides, not us, and a few do not. If you are charged, message us and we will send you the certificate and a template to claim the refund from the retailer. It does not change T&T customs duty, VAT or OPT.
Can I consolidate multiple packages?
Yes, and it saves you money. Switch on Consolidated Billing in the Swiftbox app and we consolidate your packages and deliver them together: one delivery, one bill. Your packages are billed on their combined weight, rounded up once: two 0.5 lb packages are billed as 1 lb, not 2. Insurance is charged once on your group's combined declared value, not a minimum on every package, and each package is still covered on its own, up to US$500. It's free. Customs duty, OPT and VAT stay per package.
How long can you hold my packages?
We hold packages at our Miami warehouse for up to 30 days at no charge. After 30 days, a storage fee of USD $2 per package per day applies.
What happens if a package arrives damaged?
We photograph every package when it arrives at our warehouse. If damage occurred during US shipping, we'll document it and help you file a claim with the original courier.
Do I need to submit a pre-alert for every package?
Pre-alerts aren't mandatory, but they significantly speed up customs clearance. Packages without pre-alerts may be held at customs for additional documentation — we recommend pre-alerting everything.
What items can't be shipped to T&T?
Prohibited items include firearms, ammunition, certain medications, live animals, and perishable goods. See our full prohibited items list in your dashboard or contact us before ordering.
